Founder & President

Andrew Mills is the Founder and President of Lone Tree Strategies, a Washington, DC-based consulting firm specializing in government relations, political strategy, and public affairs. With over 20 years of experience in grassroots organizing, legislative strategy, and political advocacy, Andrew is recognized for his ability to lead successful campaigns and build bridges across the political spectrum.

A seasoned strategist, Andrew has held senior roles in the private sector, national nonprofits, and on political campaigns. He spent significant time on Capitol Hill serving former U.S. Senator Richard G. Lugar of Indiana, an experience that shaped his deep commitment to bipartisanship and coalition-building as the foundation for durable policy solutions.

Before founding Lone Tree Strategies, Andrew served in executive leadership at the National Audubon Society, including as Executive Director of its 501(c)(4) affiliate, the Audubon Action Fund. There, he led federal and state advocacy initiatives focused on conservation, climate, and public lands, helping shape policy while engaging grassroots stakeholders across the country.

Today, Andrew continues to advise clients working on some of the most complex and consequential issues of our time, bringing people together, developing strategic partnerships, and driving results at every level of government.

A native of Indiana, Andrew is a proud graduate of Purdue University.
